This is one secrete that most printer manufacturers won’t like you to know!
You can refill toner cartridge 2 to 3 times and get quality print out.
When
your print out get faints it’s not because your toner has worn out but
you are out of toner, your cartridge will wear out over time, but
cartridge are built well enough to last much longer than their stated
duration, the secret to extending the life span of your cartridge is to
know where to add tonner and to only use tonner which is precise match
to the tonner which came with you cartridge. The cartridge is
manufacture to work with specific weight, grain, size and chemical type
of tonner, and will not work anything different from specification.
Steps
1.
Locate or make a ‘fill hole’ your printer cartridge has a holding tank,
which holds the tonner powder, other cartridges, however don’t have a
fill hole, so there is need to make one yourself. Most refill kits
comes with burn tools which is use to burn a ‘fill hole’ in the
cartridge. A burn tools come standard in all refill kits for cartridges
without factory made fill holes, and can also be purchased separately.
2.
Fill the cartridge with the right tonner; once you have a hole on the
cartridge use it to pour toner into the cartridge toner hopper. The
toner which comes with refill kits, the kits come with funnel cap which
screw on top of the tonner bottle and it is used to add more toner to
the cartridge with any mess. Don’t shake or squeeze the bottle because
this can spray powder all over the place. Only press the funnel cap
gently against the fill hole and gently tap the side of the tonner
bottle until the bottle is empty.
3. Reseal the fill hole;
this is the last step, which is to reseal the hole. If your cartridge
had a premade fill hole you must simply reinsert the plastic plug that
you remove earlier, refill kits for cartridges where you have to burn a
fill hole come with our special aluminum tap, which you use to securely
tape over the hole. Gently shake the cartridge to distributes the toner
evenly and reinsert into the printer,
4. It’s done!
Note: some newer cartridges have smart chips or fuse which needs to be replaced in order for the cartridge to function!
